A short page can only say so much. These videos let you feel the movement, laughter, teamwork and teaching style before you decide.
When we fall, we get up
Inclusion also means permission to try, wobble, laugh and begin again.
Additional Needs teaching is not about creating a perfect class. It is about building enough safety, choice and playfulness that children and adults can participate as they are, recover when things do not go to plan, and keep discovering what is possible.
Resilience is a skill. Joy helps it grow.Evidence-informed joy
Play is not a decoration. It is serious learning wearing a brighter outfit.
Research on school mindfulness, yoga, movement, guided play and educational relationships points toward something Rainbow Yoga has practised for decades: children learn best when they feel safe, active, connected and invited to participate.
Yoga and mindfulness, adapted for children
Reviews of school-based yoga and mindfulness describe promising outcomes for attention, self-regulation and wellbeing, with an important caution: study quality varies, and the practice must be age-appropriate.
Play with purpose
Guided-play research supports a balance of child choice and sensitive adult guidance. That is why our games have intention, adaptation and reflection, not just noise and movement.
Relationship is part of the method
Research on belonging and teacher-student relationships links supportive connection with stronger social, emotional and learning outcomes. Rainbow Yoga trains adults to lead connection, not just poses.
We do not promise medical or therapeutic outcomes. We teach practical, human, adaptable tools you can use within your professional, family or community role.

Customer Reviews
Hi,
I took Rainbow Yoga Training in Bethesda, MD many years ago and decided to enroll in Additional Needs since I have started 2 programs with Yoga with people with different abilities at different places I've worked. i believe all children deserve the ability to express themselves physically and have fun with others -- this class provides the building blocks to enrich children's lives at different levels and open up skillsets they may not have realized they had --- it's basically for everyone , since soooo many different peoples have differing ability levels, and allows you to adapt your teaching to many different kinds of people, of all ages and ability levels.
This was the best class. I learned so much! I would recommend 100%!!!!!
This is such a brilliant course, the way it’s broken down makes learning so much easier as I can easily go back and forth checking things or revisiting and practicing again. It’s fabulous for technical information and important principles and has really helped me develop my own teaching style too. I really feel my confidence growing as it covers everything I was hoping for and more. Would definitely recommend!

Great course, practical and fun!
Your next step
Inclusion is not asking every child to fit the class. It is building a class with more than one way to belong.
