📍 Mullumbimby & District Neighbourhood Centre

55 Dalley Street, Mullumbimby

Everyone is welcome—just as they are.

Community Time is for all people of all ages, backgrounds, cultures, identities, and abilities. You don’t need to be fit, flexible, spiritual, or experienced—just open to sharing space with others in kindness and presence. Whether you’re young or old, quiet or outgoing, steady on your feet or needing a chair to sit—there is a place for you here. This is a judgment-free, barrier-free zone where we celebrate our diversity and rediscover our common humanity.

💛 What is Community Time?

Community Time is a free, weekly gathering where we come together to move, breathe, play, connect, and remember what really matters—each other.

In a world that often feels disconnected, this is your invitation to return to community, to joy, to presence.

This is not a yoga class.

It’s not a therapy session.

It’s not a performance.

✨ It’s a space to be real.

✨ A place to belong.

✨ A moment in your week to feel human again.

Through gentle movement, mindfulness, creative play, and meaningful sharing, we create a safe and welcoming circle where everyone is included—no matter your background, your body, or your story.

🌈 Why Come?

  • To connect with others in a warm, open-hearted space
  • To nourish your body and soul through gentle, uplifting movement
  • To play, breathe, relax, and smile—together
  • To feel supported, seen, and part of something bigger
  • To build a stronger, more compassionate community

Whether you’re facing hard times or simply craving a deeper connection, you are welcome here. This space is yours.

💛 United for Connection: Mullumbimby Neighbourhood Centre × Rainbow Yoga

The Mullumbimby & District Neighbourhood Centre (MDNC) is the heart of our local community—a place where every person matters. With a strong foundation of compassion, the Centre provides practical support, a listening ear, and a safe space for people facing hardship or disconnection.

Their mission is simple yet powerful:

To nurture a more connected, resilient, and inclusive community for all.

From food and housing assistance to crisis care, wellbeing programs, and opportunities for meaningful community engagement, the Centre is a sanctuary of support and a living example of what it means to stand together.

🌿 Rainbow Yoga: Movement That Connects Us

Rainbow Yoga, created by Gopala Amir Yaffa, is about so much more than yoga poses. It’s a philosophy of togetherness, embodiment, and social healing.

With over 30 years of experience in leading community-focused practices, Gopala’s work through Rainbow Yoga has brought people together across the world—through movement, breath, mindfulness, and authentic human connection.

Rainbow Yoga believes in the power of moving together to feel together—restoring a sense of belonging, joy, and shared purpose in an increasingly disconnected world. It is yoga as a tool for unity, resilience, and emotional wellbeing for all people, not just the flexible or the spiritual.

✨ Community Time: Coming Home to Each Other

Community Time is a weekly, volunteer-led offering born from this shared vision—a collaboration between MDNC and Rainbow Yoga.

Every Monday morning at the Neighbourhood Centre, we gather to breathe, move, play, share, and simply be human together. This is not a yoga class. It’s a free, open-hearted space where everyone is welcome and no one is judged.

Together, we’re building something beautiful—a deeper sense of connection, a more compassionate community, and a space where people feel they truly belong.

Because when we come together, we heal.

Because community is everything.
