Nuestro trabajo en esta clase es aprender a surfear las olas de nuestras emociones, para poder mantenernos a flote y disfrutar de la vida. Si manejamos nuestros pensamientos y sentimos nuestros sentimientos, podremos surcar las olas con facilidad.

En lugar de quedarnos estancados y apegados a nuestros pensamientos y sentimientos, podemos optar por llegar plenamente a las orillas de nuestros cuerpos y mentes.

Para muchos de nosotros, nuestras emociones se sienten como olas gigantes de un océano con grandes oleajes y depresiones más bajas de lo normal. Si intentas controlar ese tipo de fuerza, te devolverán a la orilla, te golpearán con agua y terminarás exhausto y posiblemente incluso necesites ser rescatado.

Tú en el espejo

Una clase sobre el amor propio, la belleza interior y la conciencia y apreciación del cuerpo

Nosotros… aquí es donde comienza todo. La forma en que pensamos sobre nosotros mismos es la forma en que también tenderemos a ver el mundo.

El mundo es nuestro espejo. Vemos todo a través de nuestros propios ojos. Todo lo que percibimos está coloreado por nuestros pensamientos y emociones internos personales. No existe una verdadera objetividad, todo está sujeto a la interpretación de nuestro mundo interior.

Si piensas cosas buenas sobre ti mismo, tenderás a ver e interpretar las palabras y acciones de los demás como buenas. Todo empieza desde dentro… Dos personas pueden tener la misma experiencia pero la toman de dos maneras muy diferentes dependiendo de su estado interior.

Resiliencia: eres más fuerte de lo que crees

Estas cosas pasan.

A veces suceden cosas malas.

Todos pasamos momentos difíciles en la vida.

Los tiempos difíciles requieren encontrar coraje y volverse más duro, pero también permanecer suave al mismo tiempo.

Ser resiliente es volver a levantarse después de una caída.

Y ser mejor a pesar de todo y gracias a ello de alguna manera.

Todos los niños son capaces de cosas extraordinarias. No existe un gen de la felicidad, ni un gen del éxito, ni un gen del "hacedor de cosas extraordinarias".

El potencial para la felicidad y la grandeza reside en todos ellos y significará cosas diferentes para cada niño.

No podemos cambiar el hecho de que enfrentarán desafíos en el camino. Lo que podemos hacer es darles las habilidades para que estos desafíos nunca puedan doblegarlos. Podemos desarrollar su resiliencia.

La resiliencia es poder recuperarse del estrés, los desafíos, la tragedia, el trauma o la adversidad.
