從僧侶到父親

14 歲左右,我開始練習瑜伽和冥想。 16歲那年,我成為了一名印度僧侶,10年來,我全心全意地致力於這條瑜伽之路。

在那些年密集的冥想、瑜伽和服務練習中,我完全信任我的上師。我相信他,熱切地汲取他的智慧,虔誠地遵循他的每一句話。相信別人十年後,我終於學會了真正相信自己,我在 26 歲時離開了 Ashram(瑜伽寺)。 這種做法在我內部產生的行為習慣和行為習慣是很深的。現在,在離開修行場 12 年後,分享我在那裡發現的知識是我的熱情,而且是我的生計。

做和尚對我來說很容易。我一次只需要專注於一件事,我有很多時間去反省和弄清楚我在這個世界上的位置,而且在所有的強度練習中,我沒有任何隨身攜帶的擔憂。

但是現在,情況完全不同了。

現在我嫁給了一個美麗而充滿激情的女人,我有 4 個孩子,我剛剛買了房子,並且有一個非常快速增長的瑜伽業務。

哇 - 生活很忙!進入內在的時間很少,一次只做一件事幾乎是不可能的。至少可以說,我受到了挑戰。

雖然我喜歡馬戲藝術,雜耍是我喜歡嘗試的東西。但我現在所做的就是 24/7 生活雜耍!我努力讓它無縫地流動,沒有想太多。

現在,當所有的生命之球都在空中時,我發現以下瑜伽原則很有幫助:

 

1. 價值觀

我努力保持我的價值觀高於一切。家庭生活是瘋狂的;要在這場風暴中保持漂浮,您需要繼續遵守您不願妥協的道德原則。

在我們的家庭中,這就是 Ahimsa,非暴力。因此,無論發生什麼,我們都會繼續努力以非暴力方式進行溝通和行動。從我們吃什麼(我們都是素食主義者)開始,一直到我們如何對待我們的玩具、植物,當然還有其他人。

 

2. 呼吸

我需要很多這樣的東西 在做了 10 年的和尚之後,我以為我已經克服了憤怒。好吧,修行場中沒有人知道如何像我的孩子一樣找到我!!

呼吸可以幫助我們避免反應性和爆發性。相反,停下來深呼吸有助於我們以產生積極影響的方式對情況和人做出反應。

 

3. 靈活

我們都帶著行李來到我們的婚姻和我們的家庭生活。在我們聚在一起之前,我們已經了解了一些關於這個世界的東西,其中一些東西適用於這種新情況,而另一些則不適用。

我在出家時學到的很多東西並不能很好地應用於家庭生活。有時,我過去獲得的知識和工具現在阻礙了我。對我自己或他人的期望,在過去是相關的,現在只會讓我失望。

我發現我需要不斷重塑自己才能快樂並讓別人快樂,最重要的是,不要陷入模式,掉以輕心。

 

4. 信任

不要試圖控制這一切;無論如何你不能。

我盡力而為;我有時會失敗。我把我的知識和生活經驗傳授給我的孩子;其中一些深入到他們的內心深處,將他們塑造成令人驚嘆的有創造力和富有同情心的人,而其他一些細節(例如收起你的東西!)似乎永遠不會陷入其中。

在這一切中,儘管遇到了一些小挑戰和挫折,但我相信他們會成長為美麗的人,讓這個世界變得更美好。

 

5. 繼續努力讓自己成為更好的人

孩子們不是從言語中學到很多,而是從觀察我們的行為中學到的東西,所以成為最好的人,我們可以幫助他們成為最好的、完整的和美麗的自己。

在家庭的所有騷動、混亂、喧囂和混亂中,我努力記住我仍然是我自己,我有責任繼續和進化。

很容易陷入人生的事業中,重要的是時不時地退後一步,練習反省和反思,從現實中學習新的東西,然後以全新的靈感態度回到家人身邊,給予並真實地存在。
